The Las Cruces Museum of Art, the Las Cruces Museum of Natural History, and Branigan Cultural Center invite you to join us from some exciting activities and wonderful programs offered in conjunction with “NASA|ART: 50 Years of Exploration,” now showing at the Las Cruces Museum of Art.

Featured musician Dan Lambert plays exotic sounds and rhythms, including percussive South American guitar and esoteric Indian, Middle Eastern, and Chinese stringed instruments.
Painting the Night Sky
Thurs - Sat, December 1 - 3 / 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
A three-day workshop on painting night time scenes, led by Lyuba and Aleksander Titovets. Limited to 20 participants. $50 participation fee. Call 541-2217 to register or for more information.
Fireworks - Paul Schranz, 2010Friday, December 2 / 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Registered workshop participants will learn about HDR digital photography and how to shoot successfully in low light. Led by Paul Schranz, Director of the Preston Center
Sky Safari Photography Workshop
Saturday, December 3 / 7:30 – 9:30 pm
Participants from the Friday workshop will test their newly acquired skills by attempting to photograph the night sky with the assistance of the NMSU Astronomy Department. This part of the workshop is not limited to registered participants. There is a $5.00 per car fee payable to the New Mexico State Parks.
Starry Night
Tuesday, December 6 / 6:30 - 8:30 pm
A night for singles to mingle, featuring a tour or the NASA|ART exhibition, music, refreshments, and outdoor Nerf Rocket launches (rockets provided). The event is free, adults of all ages welcome.
